
Invitation For Bids (IFB) – Provision of Consultancy Service to Undertake External Evaluation of Agroecological-Based Cropping Systems to Enhance Food Security, Environmental Safety, and Income of Smallholder Producers of Crucifers and Traditional African Vegetables (Agroveg), at icipe
- The International Centre of Insect Physiology and Ecology (icipe) is an intergovernmental organisation headquartered in Nairobi, Kenya that carries out research and training in sustainable management of insects (arthropods) for improving comprehensive health and agricultural productivity in the tropics (www.icipe.org).
- icipe seeks to engage an Individual Consultant to undertake external evaluation of Agroecological-based cropping systems to enhance food security, environmental safety, and income of smallholder producers of crucifers and traditional African vegetables (AGROVEG). The reviewer is expected to assess the performance and results against the mandate that was set in the project design, and to determine the reasons for success or lack thereof, draw lessons and recommendations for improved performance in future similar interventions. - icipe now invites interested qualified individuals who are able to demonstrate technical capability to successfully deliver the above-mentioned assignment.
- Interested parties should have:
- A Master’s degree in agriculture science, environmental science, climate change, social science or other relevant academic discipline related to the assignment with excellent skill in research, monitoring and evaluation of sustainable agriculture projects. Please attach detailed CV and copies of relevant certificates.
- Demonstrated experience in multi-methodological and interdisciplinary approaches and data collection and analysis techniques in evaluation of development programs, from at least two (2) organisations.
- Demonstrated strong analytical and conceptual skills to clearly synthesize and present findings, draw practical conclusions, make recommendations and to prepare well-written reports in a timely manner.
- Provide a competitive fee quote in KES or US$ to perform the assignment.
- Provide contact details of at least three (3) organisations where you have provided a similar service. These referees will be contacted.
- Technical and Financial proposals should be addressed as shown below and submitted electronically through e-mail to icipetenders@icipe.org on or before 11:00 hours East Africa Time on 31st May 2024. The submissions should be clearly marked: ‘Provision of Consultancy service to undertake External evaluation of Agroecological-based cropping systems to enhance food security, environmental safety, and income of smallholder producers of crucifers and traditional African vegetables (AGROVEG)’.
